I’m all about the ultimate customer - my client’s client. I really want to create content that sticks with that person, so they choose my client’s product or service.

Strategic and Versatile

I’m a strategic copywriter and marketing nerd. For the last 15 years, I have been a proposal manager and freelance copywriter, creating B2B technical proposals, brochures, and boilerplate as well as social media content, blogs, and webpages. I’ve also worked as an editor and proofreader.

Customer-Centric

I start by listening to my client and learning everything about them and their industry, including competitors, current industry trends, their core values, challenges, and goals.

Next, I look for customer needs that aren’t being met. I analyze not just what’s being talked about on social media, industry publications, etc., but what isn’t being said and try to find a new angle, or fresh approach, that will engage my customer’s client.

Deadline Driven

In addition to a writer, I am a project manager. I keep a master list of all my projects and their individual tasks, highlighted by priority. For larger team projects, I use a matrix with the requirements, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.

AI Adaptable

If I don’t have a skill, such as a year ago with AI, I take the time to learn it.

I use AI for research when writing about something new or looking for ideas about market trends, key demographics, or images I can’t find.

Bachelor’s in English Writing; MBA in Marketing

I have a BA in English Writing, Certifications in Executive Leadership and Digital Marketing, and am currently finishing my MBA in Marketing.

Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Lifestyle, and IT Focus

In addition to Johnson Controls, where I wrote technical proposals for the healthcare and pharmacy industries, I have also worked as a proofreader and editor for leading brands such as Pfizer, GSK, BlueCross BlueShield, Express Scripts, and Biogen.
